Mr. Larry Lee Gloyd

Larry Lee Gloyd, 71, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born October 23, 1942 in Ashville and was the son of the late Edgar VanMeter and Leela Ann Gloyd. Larry was retired from the U.S. Army and served in Viet Nam.
He is survived by his children, Tammy York, Jason Gloyd and Travis Gloyd all of Lancaster, Jeremey (Jerica) Gloyd of Logan, Trisha (Jason) Shelton of Beattyville, Kentucky, Josh and Jacob Gloyd both of Lancaster; numerous grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brothers, Stanley (Donna) Gloyd, Gail Gloyd and Jerry (Norma) Gloyd; sister, Dorothy Craiglow and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda. Burial will be in Harrison Twp. Cemetery where military honors will be provided by Amvets Post #2256, Circleville. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
The family would like contributions to be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
