Paul J. Brown, 76, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at New Lexington Care and Rehabilitation Center. Paul was born July 23, 1936 in Carbon Hill and was the son of the late Alman J. and Marjorie (Mender) Brown. He was a truck driver and worked as delivery sales for Coca-Cola, Schwann's and various companies. After he retired in 1991, he enjoyed wood working, camping, his dogs, socializing. He loved his children, grandchildren and his wife and best friend Betty (Newman) Brown who he missed daily after she passed away on Dec. 31, 2008.
He is survived by his children, Terry (Robin) Brown of Pleasantville, Cary (Diane) Brown, Tim (Bernice) Brown and Paula (Mike) Tipple all of Lancaster; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jo Carpenter of Mansfield, Ginnie Lanker and Jean Deskins both of Lancaster; brother, Phil (Luanna) Brown of Lancaster and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Millie Kistler.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Pastor Roy Maple officiating. Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of service on Monday.
