Mr. Phillip "Steve" Young

Phillip "Steve" Young, 57, of Amanda, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at his residence. Steve was born April 8, 1955 in Hocking County and was the son of the late James Mander and Lucy Belle (Adams) Young. He was a 1973 graduate of Logan Elm High School and was the owner of Young's Drywall for 34 years. He was a member of Three Nails to Freedom Motorcycle Club and the Fairfield County Lincoln Republican Club.
Steve is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Cole) Young; children, Mary (Alex) Wolfe of Circleville, Phillip Stephen Young II and Dillon Rollins both of Amanda; grandson, Isaac Young; brothers and sisters, Edna Smith of Circleville, Eileen (Carl) McGiffin of Florida, Barb (Harold) Stump of Tarlton, Roy Young of Amanda, Donna (Edgar) Stump of Rockbridge, Joyce (Chuck) Jones of Circleville, Roger (Donna) Young of Lancaster and Rick (Karen) Young of Stoutsville; brother and sisters-in-law, Gayle Young of Florida, Jerry (Betty) Cole of Massachusetts, Barbara Gobel of Amanda and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Victory Hill Church, 4000 Coonpath Rd., Carroll, Ohio 43112 with Pastor Otis Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m.Wednesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda and one hour prior to service at the church
