Rodger P. Reeder, 52, of Stoutsville, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010. He was born March 18, 1958 in Lockbourne, Ohio and was the son of the late Boyd and Loretta (Moore) Reeder.
Rodger was a 1976 graduate of Lancaster High School. He was employed by Simplex-Grinnell Security Systems in Dublin, a member of Amanda #509 F & AM and was a baseball umpire for the OHSAA. He was an active volunteer in the community for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Rachael (Miller) Reeder; children, Renae Reeder of Reynoldsburg and Ryan Reeder of the home; brothers, Michael Reeder of Oregon and Rick Reeder of Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Pastor Ted Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville. Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where masonic services will be conducted at 6:15 p.m.
The family would like contributions be given to James Cancer Hospital for Pancreatic Cancer Research in Rodger's memory.
