Mr. Roger H. Armentrout

Roger H. Armentrout, 67, of Vinton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 after an extended illness. Roger was born September 19, 1945 in Columbus and was the son of the late Homer and Jean (Hayes) Armentrout. He was a retired automobile mechanic.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife and best friend of 48 ½ years, Ellie (Whiteside) Armentrout; sons, Roger D. (Vickie) Armentrout of Grove City and his children, Amanda, Andrea and Roger W., Scott (Cathy) Armentrout of Vinton and his children, Scotty, Tom, Tim and Stephanie and daughter, Michele (Chuck Wolfe) Armentrout; two step great grandchildren, Jacob and Baylee. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews and many close friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Sue Hayes.
Cremation has been handled with care and a memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 111 W. Main St., Amanda, Ohio 43102. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until time of service on Saturday.
The family would like memorial contributions to be made to Holzer Hospice, c/o Holzer Medical Center, 100 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
