Russell E. Foster, Jr., 30 of Lancaster, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. He was a Master Mechanic with Company Wrench in Carroll. He was an avid hunter, outdoors man, and had a love for farming, sports, and anything he could create with his hands. Russell had a strong love for his wife Mollie and loved any activity with his son Clinton. He was a graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School and a member of the 1999 state football championship team. Russell chose to be an organ donor so he could help others.

He is survived by his wife Mollie C. (Maravy) Foster and son Clinton J. Foster both of Lancaster; parents, Angela K. (Mark Middlemus) of Amanda and Russell E. (Linda) Foster, Sr. of Stoutsville; brothers, Ryan (Kendall) Foster of Kingston, Ralston Foster, and Andrew Mattox, Jr. both of Amanda; great-grandmother, Gladis Mattox of Lancaster; grandmother, Myrtie Foster of Amanda; nieces and nephews, Makayla, Rylyn, Ralston Jr., and Luke Foster, William, Gianna, Kaylee and Ryan Maravy, Emily Snyder and Meadow Bailey; mother in-law and father-in-law Jenny and Bill Maravy; brother in-laws and sister in-laws, Billy (Deb Snyder) Maravy, Megan (Eric) Milisits, Paul (Breanna) Maravy, and Kit (Ethan) Bailey; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Russell was preceded in death by great-grandfather James R. Mattox, Sr.; paternal grand father Robert E. Foster, Sr.; maternal grand parents, Charlotte and James R. Mattox, Jr.; nephew John Maravy and friend T. J. Curry.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Taylor Funeral Home, 111 W. Main Street in Amanda with Pastor Beth Bateson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. The family request memorial contributions to the Clinton J. Foster College Fund in Russell's memory.
