Mr. Wilbur L. Darst Jr

Wilbur L. Darst, Jr., 64, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born April 6, 1947 in Pataskala and was the son of the late Wilbur L. and Lillian M. (Strickland) Darst Sr. Will was the general manager and owner of Amanda Bent Bolt in Logan and general manager of the Deshler Group in Michigan.
He is survived by his wife Darlene (Wolfe) Darst; children, James A. (Dee) Darst of Pataskala, Angela (Rhen) Blais of Greenfield, Amanda Swackhammer of Columbus and Andrea Swackhammer of Greenfield; grandchildren, Amy, Sarah and Zachary Darst; brothers and sisters, Mary (Gordon) Smith, Curtis (Gail Cullen) Darst, Dorothy Darst, Bonnie (Dan) Hite and Nancy (Bill) Plum. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Wilbur L. Darst II and a brother Danny Darst.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda. Cremation will follow.
The family would like contributions be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital in Wilbur's memory.
