Connie L. Ambuehl, 57, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 after a long battle with Huntington's Korea. She was born August 15, 1955 in Lancaster and was the daughter of Charles E. and Lena M. (Francis) Bowersock. Connie was a 1973 graduate of Lancaster High School.
She is survived by a son, SSGT. Joseph Sheets of Sheffield Barracks in Oahu, Hawaii; mother, Lena Myers of Lancaster; brother, Gary (Louann) Bowersock of Lancaster; sisters, Linda (Rick Sheets) Wilkin of Lancaster and Terri (Dave) Leupold of Amanda;; brother-in-law, Randy Mace of Lancaster; special aunt, Sue Deffenbaugh of Amanda and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Ambuehl; father, Charles Bowersock; sister, Sharon Mace; brother-in-law, Terry Wilkin and step father, Lee Myers.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff at Rockmill Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Brian Varney, Ed and Jessica from FairHope hospice for their loving care of Connie during her illness.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Karl Hartmann officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
