Mrs. Edna L. Rose

Edna L. Rose, 82 , of Lancaster, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Pickering House. She was born December 31, 1930 in Lancaster and was the daughter of the late Russell and Lucille (Markwood) Martin. Edna was an active member of the Mt. Zion U.M. Church and a 4-H advisor for Pretty Patchers for many years. She was a retired school bus driver for Amanda Clearcreek School District. Edna and her husband also enjoyed playing euchre with their monthly card club. She grew up spent her entire life on the family farm.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald Rose; children; Dennis (Diana) Rose, Karen (Ed) Hollett and Brad (Judy) Rose all of Lancaster; 8 grandchildren, Josh Rose, Danyelle (Matt) Johnson, Cassie Rose, Heidi (Adam) Haeusler, Brock Rose, Andrea Hollett, Cheyenne Rose and Seth Hollett; 4 great grandchildren, Titan, Jada and Rylee Johnson and Tanner Rose. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Donald E. Martin.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with burial in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
