Kay Henderly, 76, of Amanda, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at Homestead Center in Lancaster. She was born Sept. 13, 1937 in Perry Co. and was the daughter of the late Harvey and Ruth (Harper) Gower.
She is survived by her husband, John Henderly; children, Curtis (Susan) Henderly of Amanda, Jim (Debbie) Henderly of Lancaster, David (Lisa) Henderly of Circleville and Sherrie (Matt) Ayotte of Canton, GA; grandchildren, Shawn, Joe, Noah, Christopher, J.D., Adam and Amy Henderly; great grandchildren, Vera and Oliver Henderly; niece, Joanna Lane-Javed of Louisville, KY; brothers, A.J. (Janet) Gower of Zanesville and Larry Gower of Lancaster; sisters, Karen (Danny) Ashcraft of North Carolina and Pam Hill of Newark and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, Florida 33131 in Kay's memory.
