Lilith I. Gardner, 80, of Amanda, passed away March 16, 2011 at Crestview Manor Nursing Home. She was born November 15, 1930 in Amanda and was the daughter of the late Elmond and Inez (Shaw) Althaus. Lilith was a graduate of Walnut Twp. High School, member of the Amanda United Methodist Church and a retired cook for Amanda Clearcreek Schools after 30 years of service.
She is survived by two sons, Albert (Pam) Gardner of Tarlton and Michael Gardner of Amanda; grandchildren, Alysha, Albert, Canaan, Jessica and Christopher; great grandchildren, Harley, Carter and Gracie; sisters, Virginia (Pearl) Green of Amanda, Mary (Roger) Grubb and Sandra Manson both of Circleville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Gardner; daughter, Wanda Gardner and brothers, Eugene, Wayne and Ronald Althaus.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Pastor Terry Borah officiating. Burial will be in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
