Mabel Aldenderfer, 99 of Lancaster, passed away Friday September 3, 2010 at the Crestview Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. She had made her residence there for the past 6 ½ years and it became a home to her. She received superior care from a caring and compassionate staff all those years. She passed away during the night after years of steady physical and mental deterioration from Altzheimers disease. Mabel was born March 13, 1911 in Pickaway Co. and was the daughter of the late Perry and Minnie Spangler Aldenderfer. She was a member of the St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Tarlton and a member of the Rickley Order of Eastern Star in Columbus. She is survived by a brother Ralph W. Aldenderfer of Lancaster and nieces.. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Florence Fox, Helen Strous and Lucille Kohler. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Rev. Pam Farley and Rev. Travis Dean officiating. Burial will be in Tarlton Cemetery.
