Norma Jean Nye

     Norma Jean Nye, 91, a life long resident of Amanda, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Carriage Court in Lancaster.  She was born April 16, 1927 in Lancaster and was the daughter of the late Charles Lee and Gladys Marie (Fausnaugh) Heft.  She was a long time and was currently the oldest living member of the Amanda Presbyterian Church.
     She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Patrick Conners of Amanda; two grandchildren, Shawn (Jen) Conners and Amie (Scott) Howell both of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.  She is also survived by special friends, Karen Muck and Jason Friesner.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Nye; infant son and a brother, Charles Heft.  The family would like to thank Carriage Court for their care of Norma Jean during her stay.
     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Rev. Liz Tietz officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
