Pamela S. Arthur

Pamela Arthur (Kougher) of Lancaster, Ohio, 69 years of age went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at her home. She was born the only child to Ivan, and Virginia (Bowers) Kougher. A high school graduate of Amanda High School in 1972, and later Hocking College as a Registered Nurse with honors. She started her nursing career at the old Lancaster Hospital in 1974. Later, she went to Mt. Carmel Medical Center in the cardiac department. Next, she worked at Grant Hospital, in the knee and hip replacement area. Pam was a healthcare surveyor for the State of Ohio for nursing homes. She also did some home health care. She retired from S. C. I. Rehab and Corrections as a prison nurse for 13 years. Pam always went beyond what was required in her care of many patients as the loving, caring person she was. She was a member of the Lancaster Church of Christ located at 1779 Grandville Pike (route 37).

She was preceded in death by her parents Ivan, and Virginia. Pam leaves behind Husband Rick Arthur; daughters, Janette (Chad) Walker and Julie (Brian Darst) Romine; grandchildren, Rachel Walker, Ayden and Isaac Darst, and Isabella (Tyler Faught) Azbell; great grandson, Owen Faught.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda, with Bill Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Friends may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
