Patricia A. Shannon

Patricia A. Shannon, age 85, of Amanda, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Pickering House. She was born on September 4, 1940, in Groveport, to Elmer and Thelma (Flowers) Myers. She was a graduate of Groveport Madison High School, class of 1958. Pat loved to sing. She sang and directed the choir at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Groveport as well as One Voice, a group she directed for over fifteen years. Although, she enjoyed crafting, she was happiest in her moments spent with her grandchildren. Pat enjoyed sitting on the porch swing, listening to the birds sing.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori McCalla of Las Vegas, NV and son, Wayne (Michelle) Shannon, of Amanda; grandchildren, Kyle (Aubrey), Kevin, Tara (Yanni), Matthew (Kenzie), Billy (Jessie) and Austin; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Paul Myers, of Jackson; sister, Jeri (Steve) Benson, of Sugar Grove. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert E. Shannon.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 4348 London-Lancaster Road, Groveport, OH 43125. Interment will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, 111 W. Main St., Amanda, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church.
