Patrick Kelley

Darrell "Patrick" Kelley, age 72, of Amanda, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at his home. He was born August 26, 1952, in Lancaster, to the late Darrell Kelley and Reba (Miller) Kelley, who survives. He was a graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School, class of 1971. He worked for Thompson RCA in Circleville for 28 years. After leaving RCA, he proudly attended and graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Patrick enjoyed quilting and was awarded many ribbons at the Circleville Pumpkin Show and the Fairfield County Fair over the years. He also enjoyed woodworking and the crafting of metal pipe statues. Patrick loved entertaining children, at school, at church, or anywhere dressed up as a clown making balloon animals. He just naturally looked like Santa Claus. He was happiest spending time on the farm with family and friends. He was quietly an ordained clergy who proudly married his son and daughter in law.

He is survived by his mother, Reba (Miller) Kelley, of Tarlton; children, Ryan (Nicole Parrish) Kelley, of Lancaster, Cody (Katelynn) Kelley, of Circleville, Angela (Chad) Abel, of Carroll, and Travis (Sally) Perry, of Lancaster; grandchildren, McKenzie and Colton Kelley, and Lance and Zac Abel; sister, Jennifer Kelley, of Lancaster; brothers, Keith (Cheryl) Kelley, of Chillicothe, Mike, and Shawn Kelley, both of Lancaster; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Cheryl (Tigner) Kelley; brothers, Tim and Brian Kelley; nephew, Heath Kelley.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, 111 W. Main Street, Amanda. Interment will follow at Tarlton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
