Paul David "Dave" Roberts

Paul David "Dave" Roberts, age 87 of Sugar Grove, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Altercare of Canal Winchester. He was born September 7, 1934, in Fairfield County, the son of the late Preston E. and Macie E. (Bixler) Roberts. Paul was a US Navy veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post #57 in Amanda. He was retired from The O.S.U. with 30 years of service.

He is survived by his children, Bernard Roberts, of Columbus, Lynda (Candus) Tipton, of Sugar Grove, and Scott Roberts, of Powell; grandchildren, Leah, Melody, and Chris Roberts, Hunter Robertson, Josh Emmert, Jared Lopresti and Hannah Shea Roberts; many nieces and nephews. Dave was dearly loved and cherished by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Melanie; his brothers, Gerald, Clarence, Eugene, and Preston Roberts; his sisters, Clara Belle Miller and Dorothy Thaxton.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda with Rev. Anita Richter officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery. The funeral may also be viewed live at the funeral home's Facebook page. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
