Peggy R. McHale, 89, of Amanda, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Homestead Center in Lancaster. She was born May 15, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Bernard and Ruth (Martin) Cluff. Peggy attended the Amanda U.M. Church, and was a member of Olivedale Senior Center. She had previously worked in the cash office for Lazarus Department Store for over 12 years. Peggy was a huge fan of her great grandsons' sporting events, always attending their baseball, football and basketball games. She was a proud member of the Vikingâs Elite Baseball family.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Shirley (Gene) Miller of Amanda, Patricia (Ernie) Andrews of California, and Vicki (Steve) Cordle of Amanda; grandchildren, Mandy (Justin) Cassley, Michele Andrews and Michael Andrews; great grandsons, Peyton and Kole Cassley; and great granddaughter, Faith Gibson; step grandchildren, Michele (Ken) Dille, Melissa (Norm) Tremblay, and Jackie (Gene) Bailey; 6 step great grandchildren, and 2 step great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Martin âBuckâ McHale.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Don Blankenship officiating. Burial to follow in Franklin Hills Memory Gardens in Canal Winchester. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pay to Play Fund at Kingston National Bank, or to the charity of oneâs choice in Peggyâs memory.
