Phyllis A. (Wampler) McKenzie, age 83 of Amanda, entered the Lord's Kingdom on Thursday, April 11, 2024, surrounded by her family at home. She was born on May 28, 1940, in Greenup, KY to Isaac and Georgia (Applegate) Wampler. She was a wonderful mother who's unboundless love cannot be described with words. Her passion for Christ led her to the Royalton Community Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and she was loved by all, especially the children. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved to sing. Phyllis never knew a stranger. Although many would know her as "Gran", her family came to love her as "Granny Babe Hot Stuff".

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Peggy) McKenzie, of Stoutsville, Venus (Bill) Abram, of Amanda, Malinda (Mike) Miller, of Lancaster, and Summer (Rudy Cox) McKenzie, of Amanda; grandchildren, Bethany, Amy, Amanda (Dillon), and Shayna (Ryan), McCabe (Jessie), Marshall (Morgan), Seth (Karianne), Dalton (Lexie), and Blaze; nineteen great grandchildren; one sister, Alma Jean (Roger) Caton, of Lithopolis; many nieces and nephews; best friend and Golden Girl, Linda Roark - "Dorothy". She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill McKenzie; grandson, Joe Abram; sisters, Doris and Naomi Wampler; brothers, Charlie and Billy Joe wampler; best friend, Jo Anne Ebert - "Rose".

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the Royalton Community Church, 515 Amanda Northern Rd., Amanda, with Pastor Larry Horn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Royalton Community Church, P.O. Box 307, Amanda, OH 43102.
