Phyllis L. Young, 89, long time resident of Amanda, has gone home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. She was born August 12, 1927 in Circleville and was the daughter of the late McClellan and Florence (Griffey) Clark. Phyllis was a life long member of the Amanda United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, William (Judy) Young of Amanda and a daughter, Beth Ann Yamani of San Mateo, California; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Craig) Bennett, Matthew (Elizabeth) Young and Dillon Yamani; four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Young; daughter, Jan Dresbach and a sister, Ellen England.
No calling hours will be observed and a grave side service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Amanda Twp. Cemetery with Pastor Terry Borah officiating. Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda has been entrusted with the arrangements.
