Ralph A. Dilley, 86, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Pickering House. He was born May 19, 1931 in Fairfield County and was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Beatty) Dilley. Ralph was a graduate of Amanda High School and retired as a mould cleaner for Anchor Hocking.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, JoAnn (Bowers) Dilley; two sons, Rick (Stephanie) Dilley of Johnson City, TN and Ron (Carrie) Dilley of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Ashley (Tim) McCunn of Rockbridge, Kyle (Gertrude) Dilley of Logan, Cassandra (Jodad) Rodriguez of Columbus and Carson Dilley of Johnson City, TN; brother, Bob (Jean) Dilley of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Harold, Carl and Glen and 4 sisters, Janie, Helen, Phyllis and Eileen.
Keeping with Ralph’s wishes, cremation will be handled by the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda. No services will be observed.
The family would like to thank FairHope Hospice and the Pickering House for their care of Ralph during his illness. They would also like to thank Lisa, Coyla, Susannah and Kermit for their compassion of Ralph and his family.
