Randall K. Merritt, Sr.

Randall K. Merritt, Sr., 84, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at his residence with family by his side.  He was born in Calhoun County, West Virginia to the late Lester and Grace (Arthur) Merritt. Randall was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He was a farmer and a former employee of Arcair.
Randall is survived by his son, Randall Merritt, Jr. of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; and special friend Don Reese. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel (Hines) Merritt; son, Greg Merritt; and two daughters, Diane Hall and Melony Stuteville; and friend, Andy Williams.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Dave Sherman officiating. Burial to follow at the Merritt Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
