Randy Mansell

Deloit R. "Randy" Mansell, age 71, of Amanda, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Fairfield Medical Center surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness. He was born April 4, 1954, in Lancaster, to Walter and Eileen (Karshner) Mansell. Randy was a graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School, class of 1972. He worked for Amanda Bent Bolt for 15 years and also served as a Firefighter/Medic for Pickaway Plains and the Amanda Township Fire and EMS for well over 40 years. He earned the rank of Captain prior to his retirement. Randy loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends. He helped organize and run the Amanda Twp. Fire Dept. Coyote Drive and Soya Festival for many years. There are many EMS associates who are better off today thanks to his training and mentoring. There are so many other things we could say, but we would be here all day.

He is survived by his wife of 51 and a half years, Roxanna (Gordon) Mansell; children, D. R. Mansell and Adwena (Shawn) Steinschreiber, both of Amanda; grandchildren, Jason and Molly Mansell, Alisha (Trevor) Wamsley, and Alex (Ashlyn Hart) Steinschreiber; great grandchildren, Audrey "Sweet Pea", Ember "Punkin", and one more on the way; many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Austin Christopher Mansell; many other relatives.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. Those in attendance will be given the opportunity to share stories as part of this family guided service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.
