Ray E. Stoneburner, age 67, of Amanda, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 9, 2025, at home. He was born November 1, 1957 in Columbus, to Kenneth and Mae (Smith) Stoneburner. He was a graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School, class of 1976. Ray owned and operated Stoneburner Enterprises for 30 years. He was past member of the Amanda Lions Club, 13 year member of the Board of Directors of the Fairfield County Agricultural Society, and the director of the Dairy Cattle Department. Ray and Connie had visited all 95 county and independent fairs in the State of Ohio. He enjoyed working on antique engines.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Connie (Ety) Stoneburner; daughters, Carrie (Dustin) Bates, of Wintersville and Rachel (Jason Diedrick) Stoneburner, of Amanda; his mother-in-law, Shirlee Ety, of Baltimore; sister-in-law, Chris (Matt) Shreyer, of Baltimore; three nephews and two great nieces; his "bestie" cat, Merrill, and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Gerald "Pete" Ety.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Cremation has been arranged in the care of the funeral home.
