Reba Jane Kelley, 98, of Tarlton, passed away on May 27, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 5, 1928 in Ross County to the late Charles and Ethel (Ross) Miller.
Reba grew up on a farm in Ross County and graduated from Centralia High School. She was a hard worker on the farm and in the home. She was a bus driver at Stoutsville for over 20 years, she enjoyed the kindergarten route the most.
She always wrote in her diary, loved kids and holding babies, she also enjoyed feeding family and friends, especially on Sunday, and all were always welcome.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Darrell F. Kelley; children, Tim, Patrick (Cheryl), and Brian Kelley; siblings, Imogene (Harry) Leatherwood, Marie (Bea) Clark Reed, Dorothy Miller, and Ross Miller; grandson, Heath Kelley; nephews, Joe and Jon Leatherwood.
Reba is survived by her children, Jennifer Kelley, Keith (Cheryl) Kelley, Mike Kelley, and Shawn Kelley; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; nephew, Ivan, Ned Reed; niece Becky Dixon (Chuck); and special 98 yr old friends Mary Mathews and Delores Dresbach from school who always kept in touch.
A special thanks to Fairhope Hospice for taking special care of our mother.
A graveside service will be held at Tarlton Cemetery on June 1, 2026 at Noon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to FairHope Hospice or Saltcreek Township Fire Department.
