Bob Brown

Robert Arlin "Bob" Brown, age 91, of Amanda, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ingleside, WV on December 4, 1934, to Benjamin and Cleo (Ratliff) Brown. Bob's career began working for the N & W Railroad in West Virginia. He moved his family to Stoutsville, Ohio in the mid 1960's. After his time spent with the railroad, he worked for and retired from Anchor Hocking. Bob was a member of the United Steel Workers #561. He was a craftsman; he was a skilled wood worker who enjoyed making unique pieces for family and friends. Along with his woodworking, he also helped build several homes for himself and others over the years. Bob was a man of few words who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his children, Bob Brown, of Lancaster, and Lydia (Don) Sahr, of Byrdstown, TN; grandchildren, Nikki Brown, Corey (Misha) Brown, Sarah (Brandon) Boyer, and Krista (Sean) Tobin; two great grandchildren; one brother; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Six) Brown; his parents; ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to Fairhope Hospice & Palliative Care, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, OH 43130.
