Robert Goodman

Robert "Bob" Goodman, age 90 of Amanda, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 20, 1932, in Pickaway County, son of the late Larry B. and Catherine (Leist) Goodman. Bob graduated from Amanda High School, class of 1951 and then served in the Army. He was a lifelong farmer in the Amanda area. He loved Draft Horses and horse pulling. He enjoyed woodworking, visiting flea markets, and collecting antiques. He loved watching Ohio State basketball and football.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ann (Bates) Goodman; son, Rick (fiancée Linda Anderson) Goodman, of Amanda; grandchildren, Shawn (Kelly) Goodman, of Amanda and Kelsey (Brian Pfister) Goodman, of Pickerington; great grandchildren, Kyla and Lillian Goodman; extended grandchildren, Cameron and Taylor Anderson; brother, Jerald "Butch" (Nancy) Goodman, of Lancaster; sisters, Joanne Hinton, of Amanda, and Doris Peters, of Lancaster; sister-in-law, Barbara Goodman, of Canal Winchester; many nieces and nephews; his loving companions - his Draft Horse, Jim and his dog, Sammy. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry "Bud" Goodman; sisters, Vivian Todd and Mary "Pook" Bowers; brothers-in law, Buddy Bates, Charles Todd, Don Hinton, Richard Bowers, and Don Peters; special nephew, Jeff Goodman.

At his request, private services and burial with military honors have been conducted at Amanda Township Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda.
