Ronald Dixon

Ronald G. Dixon Sr., age 66, of Marietta, Ohio and formerly of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 27th, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 14, 1958, in Kenova, West Virginia to Clifford Dixon and Virginia (Roe) Dixon Smith. Ron was a Navy veteran. He was a retired union carpenter with over 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, especially in his younger days, with his son.

He is survived by his son, Ron (Amanda) Dixon Jr., of Marietta, and daughter, Shasta (Keith) Merritt, of Amanda; grandchildren, Hailey and Brantley Dixon, and Trinity and Randall Merritt. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Greg and Clifford Dixon.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, 111 W. Main St., Amanda, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Burton officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville.
