Ruby J. Hunter

Ruby J. Hunter, 82, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, June14, 2014 at Stimmell Elderly Care in Lancaster. She was born August 5, 1931 in Fleming Co., Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Wilson and Bessie (Grose) Thompson. Ruby was a long time member of Mt. Zion U.M. Church and was a former secretary for Dr. Blosser DDS. in Lancaster.
She is survived by a son, Paul (Molly) Hunter of Lancaster; grandchildren, Traci, Kyle, P.J. and Kara; four great grandchildren; sister, Jeanie May of Michigan and several nieces and nephews. In additions to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold H. Hunter; daughter, Patti Ehorn; four sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Rev. Connie Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 12-2 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family would like memorial contributions be made to Mt. Zion U.M. Church in Ruby's memory.
