Scottie Holbrook, age 80 of Stoutsville, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Berger Hospital. He was born October 16, 1939 in Webbville, KY, son of the late Woodrow and Nanna (Caldwell) Holbrook. He was an Army veteran and was a plumber for many years. Scottie was a former member of Fairview United Methodist Church. He served on the Clearcreek Township Fire Department and was also an Alumni member of the Amanda Clearcreek FFA. Scottie was a former member of the Lancaster Elks. He enjoyed traveling to Cancun, the Dominican Republic, Australia and Hawaii and he especially loved banana crème and pumpkin pies.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn (Williams) Holbrook; sons, Andrew (Sheila Stanley) Holbrook, of Stoutsville and Ted (Heather) Holbrook, of Canal Winchester; grandson, Chancey Holbrook; great grandson, Colin Holbrook; brother, Joe (Vickie) Holbrook, of Middletown; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joyce Mullins.
No formal services for Scottie will be observed. Cremation has been arranged in the care of Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda.
Friends may make memorial contributions to the Clearcreek Township Fire Department and Squad.
