Sharma Lee Hunter, 70, of Amanda, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Lanfair Center. She was born January 18, 1945 in Circleville and was the daughter of the late Robert and Marietta (Wilson) Callihan. Sharma was a 1963 graduate of Circleville High School, a former teacherâs aide for Amanda Clearcreek Schools and a member of the Amanda United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jay Hunter; children, Lana (Marty Norris) Banker, Jason (Jenny) Hunter and Jarrod (Rachel Archer) Hunter all of Amanda; grandchildren, Ashley Gilbert, Alyssa Jenkins, Brock Banker, Andrew and Nathan Hunter, Jarrah Archer; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jade and Gage Gilbert; sisters, Carolyn (Thomas Allen) Harper and Debbie (Phil) Stevens both of Circleville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Bobby Callihan.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Terry Borah officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Circleville. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Sharma had a deep love for family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
