Sheila Ann McDonald, 62 of Lancaster peacefully went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 17, 2021, surrounded by her husband and children. Born September 1, 1959, in Matewan, WV to the late Raymond and Sarah Perkins.
Sheila was a faithful woman of God. She loved the Lord, her husband, her family, and the church. She was formerly a member of the Gahanna and Southwest Freewill Baptist Churches and most recently, she attended New Beginnings Freewill Baptist Church in Ashville.
In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by seven brothers, Bill, Charles, Curtis, Doug, James, Randall, and Ronnie, along with four sisters, Barbara, Betty, Brenda and Mable. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John McDonald. Also surviving is a daughter Michele (David) Blackburn, of Circleville; a son Brian (Tiffany) McDonald, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Makala (Brett), Cody (Gabby), Darius, Devin, Damian, Luke, and Madilyn. Two great grandchildren, Hazel and Harris; two brothers Danny (Judy) Perkins and Keith (Anette) Perkins; two sisters, Linda Smith, Sue (Richard) Sierz; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for John and Sheila will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. A funeral service for John and Sheila will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Rubyville Community Church, 5365 OH-139, Portsmouth, OH 45662 with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Interment will follow at the Rubyville Community Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the family to assist with expenses.
