Thelma Mae Strous

Thelma Mae Strous, 79, formerly of Amanda, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Logan Elm Health Care.  She was born July 4, 1939 in Pickaway County and was the daughter of the late Homer and Ruth (Lovett) Hartranft.  Thelma was a 1957 graduate of Stoutsville High School and member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church in Tarlton and formerly worked at GE in Circleville.  Thelma loved her family and was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed growing roses.
She is survived by a son, Kevin (Kathy) Strous of New Albany and a daughter, Sherry Lendhurst of Grove City; four grandchildren, Jacob, Jennalee, Jonathan Strous and Lindsay Lendhurst.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Strous and two sisters, Lois Hartranft and Norma Henry.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Dr.  Doyne Wiggins officiating.  Burial will follow in Tarlton Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Friday.
