Thomas Eugene Canfield

Thomas E. Canfield, 67, of Amanda, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 19, 1950 in Lancaster to the late Martin and Esther (Schaeffer) Canfield.  Tom was a machine operator at Anchor Hocking and retired after 38 years of service. He was past scout master with Boy Scouts Troop #42, and was a Black Foot Trainer and Order of the Arrow.  Tom also enjoyed his time at the Fairfield County Fair, and worked night security at the fair for over 30 years.
He is survived by his children, Jim Canfield of Amanda, Carri (Gene) McCandlish of Bremen, and Holly (Terry Hancher) Canfield-Lama of Lancaster; grandchildren, Corey (Courtney) Riley, Johnathon McCandlish, Andrew McCandlish, Nate McCandlish, Sylas Hancher, and Abigail McCandlish; great grandchild, Cenlee Riley; sister Alice Palmer and brother John Canfield both of Lancaster.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Canfield, and daughter-in-law, Tammy Taylor-Canfield.
A grave side service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2018 at Carroll Cemetery.
