Wilbert A. âBillyâ Hines, 62, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by family and friends on Friday, December 22, 2017. He was born on August 5, 1955 in Lancaster and was the son of the late Wilbert and Ruby (Smith) Hines. Billy was the owner of Hines Auto Wrecking and Towing and Clearport Transportation. He was a member of Lancaster Moose #955, Amvets #1985 and VFW #1380.
He is survived by his girlfriend of over 20 years, Vicki King; former wife, Linda Hines of Lancaster; sons, Wilbert L. âPeeWeeâ (Tina) Hines II and Gary (Candi Bish) Hines both of Lancaster; Vickiâs children, Larry (Danette) King Jr. of Lancaster, Jason King of Columbus and Matthew (Brittany) King of Amanda; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Duane) Armison of New York and Juanita (Robert) Kane of Laurelville; brothers, Jerry âMikeâ (Diana) Hines and Terry (Sherry) Hines both of Lancaster; brothers-in-law, Herb Tatman and Richard Pittman; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins including special friend and nephew, George Tatman. He is also survived by his four legged friends, Sparky, Molly, Zoey Belle and Buster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Hines and sisters, Marlyn Pittman and Elaine Tatman.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Gerald Mershimer officiating. Burial will follow at the Hines Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
