Zelda M. Seitz

Zelda Marie Seitz, 78, of Lancaster, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.  She was born March 5, 1937 in Fairfield County and was the daughter of the late Oscar and Nellie (Cupp) Courtney.  Zelda had an extensive work history including Kresge, RBM, Drew Shoe Factory and Quality Farm & Fleet.
She is survived by her children, Melody Marie Porter of Lancaster, Francis E. “Bud” Seitz Jr. of Sugar Grove and Beverly (Carl “Rusty”) Poston of Lancaster; several grandchildren, great grand children and one great great grandson; brother, Vernon “Pete” (Geneva) Courtney of Amanda and sister, Nellie Bernice (Lee) DeLong of Lancaster.  Zelda was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Francis E. Seitz on April 13, 2015; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Sue Seitz; grandson, Jamie Fitz; great grandsons, Jordan and Antonio 1 sisters and 4 brothers.
           Cremation has been handled with care by the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda.  A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday on July 11, 2015 at New Life Church, 2642 Columbus-Lancaster Rd., Lancaster, Ohio with Rev. Melvin Truex officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.
